My name is Jim McNiece and I’m running for city council place 6 on the May 7th ballot. I would really appreciate your support!
My focus on the city council will be three fold:
Local government should focus on the issues where it can make a difference: employing, training, and equipping a good police force; working cooperatively with the business, military, education, and medical communities to create an environment that stimulates growth and expansion; and the efficient and effective delivery of city services.
Next, a little background: I am a native of Abilene, a graduate of Cooper High School and Abilene Christian University. For most of my career, Wrigley Chewing Gum and M&M Mars employed me as a Territory Sales Manager. Now, I serve at Christian Homes & Family Services, a local pro-life adoption and maternity care ministry. My wife Rachel and I will celebrate our 30th anniversary on April 26th. We have two grown daughters; Kayla is an MD doing a residency in dermatology at Vanderbilt University and Kimmy is employed by local accounting firm Davis Kinard & Co. Rachel is a really talented professional seamstress; just ask anyone who’s needed anything altered. We are members of Oldham Lane Church of Christ and Republicans. I volunteer with the Rotary Club of Abilene.
As a city councilman, I won’t pursue personal agendas or vendettas. And I don’t have an axe to grind. Doing what is best for Abilene and working hard to make sure Abilene continues to be a great place for families to call home is my priority. Listening, working overtime, and doing my homework is my commitment to you.
Please consider casting your vote for me for Abilene City Council, place 6 on May 7th!
